Dinner Picker

Can't decide what to eat? Use our dinner picker to randomly choose from your custom list or popular presets.

Dinner Picker

Randomly selects from your custom dinner choices. No location data or restaurant recommendations.

How the Calculation Works

Choose a preset list or enter meals separated by commas or line breaks. The picker selects one available option at random. “Not This” removes the current choice for the remainder of the decision round; Reset Choices restores removed options.

This is a decision aid only: it does not check ingredients, dietary needs, restaurant availability, or location.

Worked Example

Load Quick Meals, then choose Pick Dinner. If it selects Tacos but that does not suit tonight, choose Not This and pick again; Tacos is excluded until you reset the choices. Alternatively, enter your own short list of meals.

How to Use This Calculator

Make the list fit your evening: Include only meals you can realistically prepare or order, and account for dietary restrictions before loading options. The result is random, so it does not consider cooking time, budget, ingredients, or nutrition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my own meal ideas?

Yes. Enter options separated by commas or line breaks; loading your list replaces the active preset or previous list.

Does it recommend nearby restaurants?

No. It randomly selects from the preset or custom options you provide and does not use location or restaurant data.

Can I draw again without repeating an option?

Choose Not This after a result to remove that meal from the current round. Reset Choices restores all options.
